Delphine is a 6 year old female Cross-Breed. You may recall that we recently rescued Delphine from the municipal pound. She was what is known as a ‘nothing’ dog – a dog who doesn’t have anything that stands out to potential adopters. These dogs are constantly passed by and overlooked because they have ‘nothing’ to offer.
They are often medium size, medium age, without the ‘cute’ appeal, that is so important when there are hundreds of dogs all trying to get the attention of that special person passing by the cages. It may sound like a horrible term to use, but it is one that pounds and shelters know only too well. Luckily for Delphine, and thanks to our kind and generous supporters, our rescue team have been able to change her status.
She is now very much a ‘something’ dog – she is part of our AAG family and will never be unimportant again. However, it is time for her to now find her forever family. When Delphine first arrived, she was like a little tornado, as she was so happy to be out of the pound. But after being allowed time to decompress and feel safe, she has metamorphosed into the sweetest, kindest dream of a dog.
Delphine is a wonderful dog who is calm, loving, loyal, gentle with people and wonderful with children. She likes to mostly stay by the kennel owners side at the kennels but does also gently play with the other dogs from time to time. Delphine would be ideal for a person who is looking for a loyal, faithful dog, who will always be by their side. Could you be that home this special girl deserves?
